Will Collins Artist

An Irish artist, tour guide and tutor, I live in one of the most outstandingly beautiful parts of Ireland, County Kerry. I have always been drawn to the rich colours of the Irish landscape. Ireland is a country of ever changing weather and light, the lush greens, the vibrant skys and the sharp contrasts in colour make for an endless supply of painting ideas. As a self taught artist, I have been painting from early childhood and constantly seek to grow and become a better artist, to develop my skills and understanding of what makes a great painting.

My artist heroes include both living and passed.

‘Artists who have set the standards and inspire me to one day be as good as them while at the same time I have always resisted trying to follow in their footsteps but rather accept and create my own unique style’.

There are many ways to achieve outstanding artistic expression. I like to get lost in a painting, maybe that is why every work I have ever created is something that has become a personal attachment.

I exhibit and sell my works at Gallery1608 located in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
